Come and enjoy our group dressmaking classes suitable for complete and confident beginners aged 18+. Located at Putnoe Heights Church, Bedford, MK41 8EB (get directions), our Dressmaking Classes run in the evenings from 6:45pm to 8:45pm for up 9 students. Tuition is tailored to a sewing project of your choice which allows learning at a comfortable pace. Occasionally group tuition will be initiated when learning specific fundamentals is important for all students.
You will learn:
▪ Sewing principles such as correct fabric cutting methods
▪ Basic fabric properties
▪ Sewing techniques and tips for a professional finish
▪ How to use commercial sewing patterns
▪ How to confidently use a sewing machine and overlocker
You will need:
▪ A sewing pattern and fabric
▪ Basic sewing equipment
▪ Your own sewing machine
▪ A notebook and pen
